How to Pay Your US University Fee from India

Here is how you can pay your US university fee from India.

  • Enter the country, amount, purpose of remittance and get rates from nearest banks & exchange houses
  • Compare the rates, choose any and book your money transfer online. Submit your KYC documents for verification.
  • Once the KYC is verified you can transfer the amount as NEFT/RTGS to chosen bank/exchange house's account.
  • Your wire transfer will now be initiated. The beneficiary will recive the credit with in 2-3 working days.

Documents Required for Tuition Fee Payments to USA

  • University Letter/Prospectus showing the fee amount.
  • Indian Passport Copy of the Student.
  • ID proof of the sender (Aadhar/Driving Licence/Voters ID/Passport).
  • PAN Card of the sender.

    • The sender can be the student or his/her parents.

University Account Details to be Shared:

  • University/College Account Number, Bank Name & Address.
  • SWIFT Code & Transit Code.
  • University/College Name & Address.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much time will it take for the university to receive my fee?

It takes one day for KYC verification & customer id creation at the bank. You can transfer the funds on the next day before 2 pm. The university will receive the funds within the next 48 working hours.

What is the proof that the fee has been paid?

The SWIFT copy(wire transfer receipt) contains all the transaction details including sender & beneficiary details, transaction amount, swift message(if any) etc. You will get the SWIFT copy as email on the next day of transfer.

How to include my admission number/student reference number along with the payment?

There is a provision to include a SWIFT message along with the transfer. You can include the admission number/student reference number as SWIFT message. Universities normally advise students to include these details to identify the payment correctly.

I have taken an educational loan. Can I still use ExTravelMoney?

Yes, you can. You can inform the bank which provided the loan that you want to transfer the amount on your own.
