How To Travel To Malaysia Visa-free From India?
To enter Malaysia visa-free from India, you must have a Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC).
What is the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC)?
It is a mandatory online document for all travellers entering Malaysia, designed to streamline entry procedures and boost security. One has to compulsorily submit the online application for MDAC a maximum of 3 days before your arrival.

Steps for MDAC Application
1. Visit the MDAC registration homepage of the official Malaysia immigration website and click the “Register” button.
2. Fill out the form with your personal information and enter your valid e-mail address.
3. Upload your travel information and click the “Submit” button. (Keep a screenshot to mail to the Immigration Department in case of any delay)
4. Soon you will receive an acknowledgement that your MDAC application is successfully registered.
5. Within a few hours, you will receive a PIN in your mailbox from the Malaysia Immigration Department.
6. Visit the MDAC portal and click the “Check Registration” option. Submit the registered passport number, nationality, and obtained PIN.
7. Download the MDAC pdf file.
Please Note: The form asks for details regarding your transportation number and address of your stay in Malaysia. So keep them ready before registration.
What to Do After Arriving at the Airport?
Once you reach the airport you must display the following documents during the security and immigration screenings-
- Passport with a validity of at least six 6 months
- Confirmed return flight tickets
- Confirmed hotel booking
- Sufficient Malaysian Ringgit as cash
- Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC)
